Odysseus the Rebel
Webcomics are a pretty big thing on the internet. They can parody, humor, or dramatize. Odysseus the Rebel does all of those things and more. It takes the classic story of Homer and gives it a corkscrew of twists and turns. mind you, I think that all of those twists are manageable and believable within the Homeric Age of Gods and Heroes.
But then again, in this story Odysseus is not really a hero. Just a man who decided to live his own life. The story itself is completed, but it's a fairly large archive; I suggest taking it in chunks of 5-10 pages at a time.
However, it does get Not Safe For Work at times. The combat is gory and dramatic, and there is some nudity, but I find that it advances the plot or proves a point. The art itself is fantastic, telling the story while being visually appealing. the people, ideas and culture are all authentic and very well done; I found the setting that Tiresias and the land of the dead were especially fascinating. A great brain-teaser.
