Ultramarines Movie
Warhammer is alot of things. Videogames, tabletop miniature gaming, role-playing games, books, and now, a movie. For me, Warhammer is a fascinating study into a pure distillation of everything a punk-rock-nerd who played D&D while listening to Black Sabbath loves about fantasy and science fiction. Throw in some references to Tolkien, Heinlein, and other writers, some Epic-Level art, and a universe that's so depressing it makes Nietzsche look like an emo kid, and you have Warhammer 40K. I don't recommend it for kids or those with rose-colored glasses.
The fans of this universe, whether for the games or the backstory or the cool art, have been dying to see a movie for years. I myself will await this with excitement. I guess I hope it will be like 300, in that it will be all about the action in a completely fantastic setting; however, I did have a beef with 300, and that was it was simply way too macho. There's a limit as to how much macho-ness can be shoved into a movie, and I hope this one will have the right amount.
