Bags packed, tickets booked, packages received, bank empty.

This Eurotrip is coming to an end; tonight will be my last night before catching a train to Frankfurt. Will be going out with a trio from Austrailia. Should be fun.

So the family back home has all decided to gather at my house for Thanksgiving... when I am not there.

The last time we were all together it was to see me off going to Europe, and then I dont think it was long enough. So I am just slightly irritated. Its like my family is thumbing their noses at me, in the sort of half joking half serious way my family does these things. My own Thanksgiving was not very memorable. There were no other Americans at the hostel, so I was forced to chow down on spam and stale bread by myself.

Moved out of Prague yesterday at around noon... am posting from the spa town of Karlovy Vary, this writings is the first time Ive been able to sit down in about twentyfour hours. My legs suprising dont feel too bad, but I do feel beat, and am having some slight balance issues. Its a long storz.

Spent today out and about around town, after picking up my lost luggage from the hostel. It was very gloomy, when I got in last night (at around 2300 no less) and it stayed that way when I went out to the western part of the city, as you can see in the pictures.

Well, since I was such a fool as to leave things behind, I am making a short trip to Budapest. I will probably be only staying for a day, and then I am coming back to Prague. Have also decided on making plans for coming back home in Early December, after I get my new glasses. I figure I got just enough money with me to make it.

I've been to all the countries on my list, visited several cities and many smaller towns, celebrated a few holidays in Europe, made some new contacts, and generally have had a good time.

It is, however, starting to get a bit wearysome. I admit that I don't have the same wanderlust as I used to; I feel like I have completed what I wanted to do on this trip, with about a month to spare (I am going to have to wait for my new glasses to arrive on the 30th, which means I would be taking a flight home sometime in early december, weather and money permitting.); that is, go to several countries and figure out food, lodging, and money on my own. A test of manhood, if you will. Granted, it hasnt gone all honey and flowers, I've said that much on this blog here.

Besides that, I wanted to meet new people, see a bit of Europe I have not seen before, and prove to myself that I could do this.

So here I am back in Prague. Same hostel, same internet cafe. 30 minutes for 20 crowns.

So after a few days of lying in bed I am feeling a bit better, still a little sluggish. But there are problems, not the least of which is I screwed up the purchase of my EUrail Pass, its good for Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, and Romania. Spot the problem yet?

I am still waiting for a replacement phone here in Germany, but I am thinking I will be heading to Prague soon enough, at least to rest up. When I get better maybe I'll try and find a way to get back to Budapest, but that will be some time ahead.

Ugh.... was walking home from the Brandenburg Gate (they got all sorts of crazy things being set up now) when I started a coughing fit. By The time I got back to the hostel I feel miserable.. I think I am coming down with a slight fever. This puts a damper on my remaining sightseeing plans for Berlin, hopefully I will be better to hit the road on the 10th but I shall have to prepare as best I can.

Just got into Berlin yesterday. Will be here until the 10th.

Spent the night with this foreign exchange group, went to a bar, had some fun.

All of my clothes are a little funky from the smoke and drink... will have to wash them somehow.
